Pumpkin Patch Family Fun in North Scottsdale, Arizona By Liz Eichelberger Real Estate Agent
Scottsdale, Arizona is not known for it’s pumpkin patches, but around this time of year as the weather begins to cool down just a bit, you can even find a pumpkin patch in the middle of the desert! Here are a few places that you and the entire family can enjoy for some Halloween fun!

McDonald’s Ranch is a wonderful place where you and the entire family can escape from the norm and experience a fun environment with a genuine Western flare conveniently located near the North Scottsdale real estate market! Now that fall is finally upon us the ranch pulls out all the stops with their pumpkin patch. There are also train rides, hayrides, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, sand art, and yummy food! Plus, everyone will love the maze made out of more than a semi-load of hay. Just don’t start having too much fun and forget to pick out your pumpkin! The ranch will be open October 1 – 31 from 9 a.m. -6 p.m. every day except Tuesday so see you there!

The Desert Botanical Garden is another fabulous spot to take in some of the best views the desert has to offer and see the Chihuly exhibit and night time. However, October 23 – 26, it turns into the home of one of the most celebrated pumpkin patches in the Sonoran Desert. You will be able to take a hay ride over to the patch where you will also find a fun maze to confuse and amuse you for a little while.

But wait….that’s not all folks! Every weekend beginning October 4 through October 26, you can ride to a secret pumpkin patch on board the Grand Canyon Railway. Visitors can enjoy a hay bale maze, pumpkin carving and a haunted train car.

Last but not least definitely visit the Phoenix Zoo from October 20 – 26. You can participate in the pumpkin ”stomp and chomp” with animals enjoying pumpkins and other munchies, scavenger hunts, and a scarecrow straw maze. Visit the pumpkin patch and enjoy great photo ops of the little ones dressed up in costume that can capture these precious moments forever.

As you can see Scottsdale, Arizona is full of surprises!
